The countdown jointed model line is a very interesting one. They are sold
in Europe and in Japan, and for one brief stint, there seemed to be some
excess shipped to the states for sale. None have made it to retail stores
before or since. There doesn't seem to be too much information out there
on this model as to when it was started and what not.
They are produced in three sizes, 7, 9, and 11. The colors are very strange
indeed. You can find old school perch color with the gold sides, perch with
the white belly, perch with the orange belly, and both of those come with
and without the red mouth. Some of the GFR colors come with scales, some
without, and some with the pearl sides instead of the foil sides. I am close
to having all of these, but the last few that I need may never turn up where
I can get them. That is the challenge in collecting. I might not have pics of
all of these, but I will try to get the missing ones up as soon as I can.
