Indiana Hunting
Hunting in Indiana can be very challenging.  It can be tough to find
ground to hunt and it can be tough to get drawn for hunts on
state property.  With that said, there are a lot of different animals
that we can hunt.  From spring turkey hunts to end of the year
rabbit hunting.  Only June and July are closed for hunting, and
fishing can take up the slack in those months.

Only the white-tail deer offers Hoosiers a chance at big game.  That
could be the reason why so many of us suffer from deer fever from
the beginning of September until the end of the year or longer.

It all starts in April with Turkey hunting.  Then in August, squirrel
season falls in.  When September rolls around, dove season starts
up.  After a month of shooting these streaking and dodging bullets,
we hit early archery season for deer.  November 7th brings about
the statewide hunting of rabbits.  Rabbit runs to the middle of
February, while squirrel end at the end of January.  If you get the
notion to, you can try your hand at coyote hunting until the middle
of March.  Or perhaps striped skunk would be better?  I guess if
you consider bullfrog hunting in June, and crow hunting in July, you
can hunt every month of the year.  We know we skipped over some
animals, namely ducks and geese, but we were just trying to cover
the entire calendar.
